Nonprofit Spotlight: Las Vegas Labrador Rescue

by Wynn Resorts

Max, a 6 year old lab came to the Las Vegas Labrador Rescue (LVLR) when his human was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease and went into hospice care. Max had only ever lived with his human, was very shy of other people, and hadn't received proper veterinary attention. Despite knowing that Max's medical needs would be higher than usual, LVLR did not hesitate to take him into their rescue. Their commitment to every Labrador's wellbeing is unwavering, even when costs exceed expections.

LVLR is often faced with higher veterinary bills than what they take in for adoption fees. In 2024, the LVLR's average veterinary bill per adopted labrador was $520 while the adoption fee remains just $300. Thanks to generous donations from Wynn Las Vegas employees and the corresponding dollar-for-dollar match; LVLR continues to provide comprehensive medical care for each lab they rescue.

LVLR’s mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome Labrador Retrievers in need, ensuring each one receives the love, care, and second chance they deserve.

LVLR is happy to share that after some time in a volunteer foster home, Max the Labrador has been adopted into his forever home! He's now living his best life with lots of love, comfort, and tail wags.
