Digging In & Doing Good with Lighthouse Charities
At the start of the autumn season in Las Vegas, Wynn volunteers participated in service activities at Rose Creek Farm, operated by Lighthouse Charities. Lighthouse Charities is a local nonprofit dedicated to empowering the vulnerable and displaced – including refugees, legal immigrants, and locals in need of support – by promoting self-sufficiency, encouraging personal growth, fostering healing, and restoring hope so they can become thriving members of our community.
Rose Creek Farm serves as both a community farm and workforce training program. As part of Lighthouse Charities, the farm serves as a hands-on learning space where individuals can learn valuable skills in agriculture, hydroponics, vermicomposting, and sustainable farming practices.
Wynn Las Vegas volunteers contributed to farm maintenance tasks, including weed removal, pathway raking, painting structures, and clearing old vegetation to accommodate new plantings.
