Doorman to DJ
Wynn doorman Reggie Horsford has volunteered with several non-profit organizations in Las Vegas including Welcome Home Troops, an organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for veterans and their families.
Reggie has gone above and beyond for Welcome Home Troops including organizing the entertainment portion of the February 2020 NASCAR Tailgate Event. Reggie approached this difficult task without hesitation, setting up a tailgating experience complete with food, beverages and entertainment for several veterans and active duty military members and their families.
On the day of the NASCAR event, Reggie had coordinated all the sound equipment and the band. For the master of ceremonies, Reggie secured the winner of Wynn’s 2019 Employee Talent show to sing the National Anthem – and Reggie even volunteered as DJ!
Reggie, along with a few other Wynn employees, worked tirelessly on the NASCAR event from set up to tear down – all to ensure the attendees had an experience they would never forget. For Reggie, it was simply his way of giving back to veterans and active duty military who give so much for our country. The American Cancer Society recognized Reggie’s work during the NASCAR event and presented him with an Award of Appreciation.
Currently, Reggie is using his time during the COVID-19 pandemic to make instructional videos on how to turn a long-sleeved shirt into a face mask.
