High School is Tough Enough
Project 150 provides support and services to homeless, displaced, and disadvantaged high school students so they can remain in school, graduate, and build a bright future. There are more than 6,000 displaced and disadvantaged high school students at 58 high schools in the Clark County School District. There are 3,300 registered homeless and 3,100 non-registered homeless high school aged students in Southern Nevada.
The sock drive is an annual tradition for Wynn Las Vegas - for each pair donated, the company matches $1 per sock pair. Employees are granted one hour of volunteer time for participating; this sock drive is also open to vendors and attendees of the IMEX trade show. This year, the sock drive was during the month of November. A total of 22,291 pairs of socks were collected, of which 6,000 were collected from IMEX attendees.
