Although Encore Boston Harbor has closed its doors to guests during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Food & Beverage team has continued to put their talents to use! Over the course of the last two months, they have donated more than 6,000 breakfast and lunch boxes to the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency (MEMA).

MEMA is integral to the operations of the greater Boston area, providing Massachusetts residents and visitors emergency preparedness resources, emergency alerts, and information during and after emergencies and disasters.

The F&B team packed 250 meals a day to be donated to those that are less fortunate and have limited access to food. Majority of the donated meals have been distributed in the Chelsea community, one of Encore Boston Harbor’s host communities that have been impacted by COVID-19.

Encore Boston Harbor intends to continue this initiative, to help keep the families and people that live in our communities safe and hunger free.
